This Week in the Garden: Blossoms Blossoms Blossoms

These beautiful blossoms are not (sadly) from my own garden, but the naturalised trees along our neighbourhood trail which were looking/smelling too superb not to share a few snaps here on the blog this week.  My own garden blossoms have either faded (peaches, nectarines) or not yet popped (apples, pears) but the neighbour's cherry tree is doing a fine job of luring tui into the garden and blanketing the yard with petals so I'm blossoming vicariously. It's a pleasant distraction from the soggy state of my growing garden to-do list. Don't let the sunshine in these pictures fool you - it was short-lived and somehow still scattered with rain. Ahhh springtime!

What's happening in and around your garden this week? Whatever your garden/green news, we would love to hear about it. Please leave a comment or post us a message on the GiRL Facebook page. I look forward to sharing our garden with you as it grows.
